About The Judges
Ms Pat Booth (Maravilla)
What a priviledge to be asked to judge SWD at the SWDC CHAMPIONSHIP Show 2022 - Celebrating 30 years of these amazing dogs in the UK.
I have had SWDs in my life since 1997, always supporting and advocating the working attributes of the breed. I have been involved and competed in many sporting disciplines, their natural athleticism and drive delivering an energetic dog who thrives on work. As a founder member of the SWDC and a committee member for many years, I have been involved in all of the major milestones of the breed's development and nationwide recognition. My passion for the breed and its health is still as strong as ever and currently I enjoy working my dogs in gundog work and water rescue. I have 9 SWDs under my care to keep me on my toes!
Miss Kirsty Watts (Oakmarsh)- Special Award Judge
I was brought up with working Labradors and later I had my own Chocolate Labradors which I tried to show and work and bred a couple of litters. In 1998 I came across Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.
I liked the fact that most of the Chesapeakes I saw in the show ring, also worked and I had my first litter in 2010.
I became interested in Spanish Water Dogs when my friend had a litter in 2014 and I have followed them ever since. I have handled SWDs in the show ring and am currently on the Judges B List. I have been passed to award my first set of CC's in Chesapeakes later this year.
