Mrs Sheila Burditt (Mabursh)

I have been around dogs for as long as I can remember.  I discovered this wonderful breed [Spanish Water Dogs] 22 years ago and for the last 21 years have lived, yes, lived with them.  I have shown and judged curlies in both the UK and Spain.

I improved my understanding of the breed by attending many Monográficas here in Spain and always attend and have watched the breed at Crufts, be it C.C's [Challenge Certificates] or non C.C's.  I award C.C's in Bearded Collies.

Mrs Shirley Hockenhull (Ultrastar)- Special Award Judge

I started with dog showing in 1984 and before that tried my hand in obedience and agility with a GSD.  I started showing dogs after my first encounter with an Akita, these became my passion.  In 2001 I took an interest in the Russian Black Terriers.  We took ownership of our first one in 2002.  We still have these as part of our lives today.

I give C.C's in Akitas and am also on the A3 list with the Russian Black Terriers plus a few other breeds.  I became interested in the Spanish Water Dog via a family member who was living out in Spain at the time, so started to look into them in the U.K.  I liked what I saw.  The more I looked the more I liked.  I have followed he breed for a few years now, even stewarding for the breed at championship shows which to me was a good way of watching and learning.  I also steward at Crufts and many other championship shows around the UK
