We are delighted to announce that the 2020 Spanish Water Dog Club Health Survey is ready and waiting for all you lovely SWD people out there! We need you to fill in one survey for each of your gorgeous SWDs, giving us as much information as possible of the health of our wonderful breed! (You can even fill in a record for any SWDs which are no longer with us, all this information is important.)
In 2017, we received over 500 responses, we’re aiming for 1,000 this time, from SWDs all over the world.
Alongside the launch of our Health Survey is the Club’s updated online Breeders’ List, which has been compiled behind the scenes by our Acting Secretary, Jenny Abrahams, giving potential puppy owners the confidence that everyone on it has signed up to the SWDC Code of Ethics in all areas of health and welfare, bringing up happy, healthy, registered puppies.
Any members who would wish to join the Club’s Breeders’ List, having read the SWDC Code of Ethics have the opportunity to indicate this on the Health survey and their details will be passed on to our Secretary.
Whether you are an owner, breeder, exhibitor, trainer or just a lover of SWD, please, please consider completing the 2020 Spanish Water Dog Club Health Survey for every SWD you own – we welcome information on SWDs from all over the world.
In conjunction with the SWDC’s commitment to enabling research into Late Onset Glaucoma in our breed, you can indicate your willingness to take part in this ground-breaking genetic research with your own SWDs; there is a question in the survey where you can ask us to contact you about it.
I will give a report on the survey with a breakdown of results at the SWDC AGM in 2021, so go now and do it while you think about it please.
We will leave the survey open until 31st December 2020.
The survey can be accessed by clicking anyone of the highlighted words above or by CLICKING HERE
For those that do not wish to complete the survey online, a printable PDF version can be found below. Please complete it and email either a scanned copy or photos of the completed pages to health.swdc@gmail.com
