-
Can they explain to you the characteristics
of the breed and what is meant by ‘guarding tendencies’
and the ‘second fear period’?
-
Do both parents have excellent temperaments?
-
Are both parents fully health screened
for Hip Dysplasia, PRA and Predisposition to Glaucoma?
-
Are the relevant certificates available
for you to view?
-
Are the puppies registered with the
Kennel Club and are the documents ‘endorsed’?
-
If the KC registration documents are
‘endorsed’ will the Breeder explain what the endorsements
are and what they mean?
-
Will you be able to read, and have
fully explained to you, the Contract between yourself and the Breeder
on a previous visit rather than only on the day you collect the puppy?
-
Does the Contract specify what will
happen if the puppy is found to have any health problems (congenital,
hereditary or previously existing infection) at its first veterinary
check?
-
What are the terms regarding return
of the puppy in extreme circumstances and refund of the purchase price
and reimbursement of any veterinary costs?
-
Are the puppies being reared within
a home environment?
-
Are the puppies receiving adequate
stimulation and socialisation?
-
Will the puppies still have access,
even after ‘weaning’, to their mother up to seven weeks
of age?
-
Will you receive ongoing help and
support from the Breeder should you have queries or should problems
arise?
